Positive Reviews
positive:
Central location is very handy.
Just a few minutes walk from the sparkling blue of the Mediterranean and an easy stroll from the shops, cafes and bars in the town centre; this hotel's location is about as good as it gets in Menton. Having the Casino and train station within ten-minutes' walk is the icing on the cake.
positive:
You can get brekky in your room 'till 11.00.
Good news if you're not one for getting up in the morning – you can get breakfast sent up to your room and munch on it to your heart's content in whatever state of dress you deem appropriate. Happy days!
positive:
Dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant.
Regular visitors to France will know that French eateries generally have no problem letting canines onto their premises. Happily, the hotel's restaurant bucks this trend completely – no pooches here!
Negative Reviews
negative:
Evening meals aren't the best.
Whilst the breakfasts offered in the restaurant are, on the whole, pretty good; the same cannot be said of those proffered later in the day. Very limited in choice and uninspired in taste, sadly.
negative:
Wi-Fi is a little temperamental.
One minute there's a signal, the next it's gone. One minute you're logged-on, the next you're booted off. Not a big deal really but it can get pretty frustrating if you're someone for whom being online is important.
negative:
Can feel very full when a coach party turns up.
This laid-back hotel can suddenly feel quite 'full-on' whenever a coach party turns up. Breakfast time in particular can feel like a bit a scrum as there often seems to be more guests around than there is space to accommodate them.
