A dining dream.
The menu is wide ranging with choices to suit most tastes. The quality of the fresh, local produce shines through in star quality dishes ... the memory of which you are bound to savour for a long time to come. The Wine List is equally impressive and offers the perfect selection to complete your dining experience. Pre-dinner, the log fires in the lounge create just the right atmosphere for what is to follow. it's not surprising at all, to find that the Restaurant has a two-Rosette award.
positive:
Superb accommodation.
Rooms are carefully designed and decorated to perfection. They retain, though, that essential element of relaxation. Beds are extremely comfortable. If stairs are a problem, it is suggested that you should, perhaps, reserve ground floor accommodation in the Coach House. There are some ‘tall stories' of some guests having a problem with low-beamed ceilings. Just mention the fact when booking, or request a room change when you arrive. If they can possibly assist, they certainly will!
positive:
Wonderful welcome.
There's no standing on ceremony and the welcome is very much like what you'd expect when meeting up with old friends. Owners and staff members couldn't be nicer. It quickly becomes apparent that many guests are, indeed, old friends, having re-visited the hotel on a number of occasions. This warm, relaxed approach in no way detracts from the high standards that are to be found in all areas of the operation.
