Positive Reviews
positive:
Good, basic lodging and breakfast for the prices.
Room amenities are at their basic at Spring Grove Tavern & Guest House, but that's fine for the price. It's a decent place to stay while in the West Yorkshire region, and although there is a charge for breakfast, it's a hearty and well cooked and portioned meal.
positive:
Clean room with clean and fresh towels and linens.
Attentive housekeeping helps keep this inn a great option for short stays, as well as for contractors and road crews who may need a longer residency due to work projects. The rooms are kept very clean, and the linens and towels are refreshed as needed or requested.
positive:
Relaxing stay since you can go about your schedule.
There's no curfew at the lodge, so you can come and go as you please, without interruption or inconvenience. It's a great benefit, allowing you the flexibility to explore the local culture and entertainment. It also further adds to the economical value of the stay.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms are too drab and need bright makeovers.
Despite its basic nature, the rooms are still considered too worn and drab looking. Curtains and carpets are tattered, the furnishings show obvious signs of age and excessive use, and the overall impression leaves a fair amount to be desired.
negative:
Thin walls mean loud sounds come through rooms.
The walls here are very thin, so you're likely to hear every sound that's above a whisper. Combined with outside noise if you need to have the windows open, it can make for a rough sleep. Unless you're a heavy sleeper, bring ear plugs.
negative:
Poor room layouts and lighting affect comfort.
The ensuite layout unfortunately affects how comfortable and spacious those rooms are. Lighting is also not entirely at its greatest, which creates a bit of a disappointment.
