Lindens House is a family-run bed and breakfast which is located at the top of Chard High Street, surrounded by the vast countryside. It is seven miles away from Axminster Railway Station. All the five rooms are equipped with television, satellite channel, radio, tea/coffee making facilities and minifridge. Bathrooms are provided with hair dryer and all other en suite facilities. Cots for kids are available on request. Reduced mobility rooms are available for disabled guests. Pets are allowed. Parking and Wi-Fi connection are complimentary services. There is a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a beautifully landscaped terrace. Guests can also enjoy the facilities of a sauna and hiring a mountain bike. The full English breakfast has many fans among a number of guests. It is cooked to perfection with a lot of variety. It includes fresh fruits, sausages, yoghurt, cereals and eggs, Guests could even order fish for breakfast. Black pudding is a must try as per most of the guests.
The family rooms are very pretty with en suite facilities. It has a good supply of biscuits, drinks, tea/coffee, chocolates and bottled water. The shower is clean and has been provided with shower gels and lots of clean towels. Guests had a very comfortable sleep on the king-size bed. The view of the garden is an added bonus to the rooms.
Guests loved the fact that they were made to feel welcome by the owners and staff members from the very moment they stepped into the B&B. They went out of their way to help the guests and ensured that they have a lovely stay. There are many thoughtful facilities for disabled guests like reduced mobility rooms on the ground floor, stair lifts and access to wheelchairs.
Some of the guests felt that the bathrooms were very tiny and having slightly bigger shower rooms would have helped them take a comfortable shower.
First of all the parking space is very limited and secondly, guests with bigger vehicles can have some difficulty in maneuvering their car because of the wall on the opposite side of the B&B.
