negative:
Maintenance Needed.
The size of the room did not impress, and there was a lack of heat from the central heating radiator, whilst two replacement heaters also failed to do the job. There was a lack of sound insulation, and the TV picture was intermittent.
negative:
Short Staffed.
The staff are amiable and hard working, but under pressure due to under staffing. The service at dinner was slow, and the standard of cuisine was found to be only average, whilst prices of wine seem to be high, almost at the level paid in London.
negative:
Could Do Better.
The impression from guests' comments is that the hotel does not come up to the standard that they expected in view of the exquisite setting. The cuisine is at an average level of quality and the limited wine list poor, but not cheap.
