Positive Reviews
positive:
Location is pretty convenient
The fact that this hotel is less than ten minutes' walk from two metro stations (Kuramae and JR Asakusa) ensures it makes a very agreeable place to base yourself. Having the lively Nakamise Shopping Street and evocative Sensō-ji temple (the oldest in Tokyo) just up the road is pretty sweet too.
positive:
On-site bath house is a real bonus
The traditional onsen (communal bath house) housed on the top-floor of the hotel is a real treat as, in addition to having the ability to literally soak up some Japanese culture whenever you like, you can enjoy some glorious views of the Sumida River and the Sky Tree Tower beyond. Night time vistas are pretty special, especially when you have the place to yourself.
positive:
Spick-and-span throughout
If you’re a stickler for cleanliness then you’ll love staying here; everywhere - accommodations included - is absolutely spotless.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Accommodations are more than a little compact
There’s no getting away from the fact that, like so many other three-star properties in Tokyo, the guest rooms in this hotel are very short on space. If you’re travelling with lots of luggage then you may want to look elsewhere...
negative:
Wi-Fi is pretty slow
It has to be said that, by metropolitan Tokyo standards, the Wi-Fi here is very sluggish indeed at times. Something to bear in mind if you’re visiting for work reasons and/or need to be online for long periods.
negative:
Pillows are like pancakes!
Numerous visitors have complained about the extremely flat pillows used in the guest rooms. Do yourself a favour and bring an inflatable one with you!
